The crowd rose to their feet as Celso Neto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aírton Fontes. That made the score 1-2 in the 33 minute of play. Edelmiro Honesto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Celso Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taberoe EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aírton Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Baliza AD were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edelmiro Honesto made a kick off. Edelmiro Honesto came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Renan Simão could save by the left post.
