Pavel Polunin took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeca Guimarães. Zeca Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Evert Andreasson put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zeca Guimarães. In the 10th match minute, Curitiba Flame was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maksymilian Damazki to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Avarzeado SS booed when Curitiba Flame was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Curitiba Flame's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Félix came free, but Luizão Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Avarzeado SS defense, Bernardinho Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Guimarães. The Avarzeado SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Guimarães should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Pavel Polunin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. A hard shot 38 in the game by Elivélton Campidelis from a close distance when the talented Zeca Guimarães managed to make a qualified save. Avarzeado SS's players were relieved. When Curitiba Flame's Elivélton Campidelis, in the 40th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Curitiba Flame. In the 42nd minute Pavel Polunin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardinho Dias to strike the kick off in the second half. When Luís Guilherme Peres fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avarzeado SS's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Peres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Curitiba Flame. Pavel Polunin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zeca Guimarães. 5-0. 58 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Dias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Zeca Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, Avarzeado SS's Ernani Matos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ernani Matos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Avarzeado SS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ernani Matos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Avarzeado SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Pavel Polunin shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Avarzeado SS's Zeca Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Campidelis in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Elivélton Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curitiba Flame fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 85th minute Bernardinho Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Avarzeado SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Goiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match Pavel Polunin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeca Guimarães skillfully saved the ball. Zeca Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Polunin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Avarzeado SS defense, Elivélton Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Guimarães. The Avarzeado SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Guimarães should have stopped the shot. After 94 played minutes, Curitiba Flame's Pavel Polunin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeca Guimarães came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Curitiba Flame reached it. After some careless play in the Avarzeado SS defense, Elivélton Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Guimarães. The Avarzeado SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Guimarães should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Antunes during the 100th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ian Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 101st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 102nd minute, Evert Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curitiba Flame's supporters rose to their feet, but Evert Andreasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Curitiba Flame players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
