The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atlético do Vale's Doni Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Munhoz in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Baltazar Soares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The chacara fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Perivaldo Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored chacara fc's protests and gave Perivaldo Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for chacara fc! The goalkeeper, Geraldo Matorin, was totally fooled by Atlético do Vale's Benê Zanette, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Clóvis Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético do Vale's Doni Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel de Mendonça in the 16th minute of play. Doni Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Munhoz in the 21st minute of the match. chacara fc's Geraldo Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Zanette in the 27th minute of play. Baltazar Soares hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Benê Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Matorin having to interfere. With a little luck, chacara fc's Geraldo Matorin got control of the ball when Benê Zanette tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celsinho Munhoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atlético do Vale's Benê Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benê Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doni Campidelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Munhoz in the 57th minute. Artur Mendess short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Doni Campidelis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 65th minute, Benê Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Panos Terzis fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético do Vale's protests and gave Panos Terzis a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético do Vale fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The supporters of chacara fc booed when Atlético do Vale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Munhoz got free with Doni Campidelis in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But to his dismay, Benê Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Celsinho Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benê Zanette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geraldo Matorin having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético do Vale fans cheered their team off the field, for while chacara fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
