Blackeagle's Jelmer Waard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jelmer Waard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Jelmer Waard made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Lars Meesters sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Blackeagle's goalkeeper Jelmer Waard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. The supporters of Blackeagle booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Blackeagle.
