In the 14th minute, Carel Zeydeveld reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Pernambucano. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of Itupeva booed when Real lyons f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvaldo Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Carel Zeydeveld put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Pernambucano. In the 25th match minute, Itupeva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Real lyons f.c's Sidney Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serginho Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serginho Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Serginho Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidney Luz might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Pernambucano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Pernambucano stood somewhat misplaced when Carel Zeydeveld came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Carel Zeydeveld sped through Itupeva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Pernambucano.

The wind increased when Serginho Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Carel Zeydeveld notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Itupeva's Carlos Pernambucano. Carlos Pernambucano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Carel Zeydeveld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Pernambucano was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When Sidney Luz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Real lyons f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Luz couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Carel Zeydeveld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Pernambucano was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Real lyons f.c's Carel Zeydeveld got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real lyons f.c. Real lyons f.c's Carel Zeydeveld pulled a muscle in his back after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 82 minutes into the game, Dionísio Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itupeva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real lyons f.c the free kick. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itupeva! The referee gave Real lyons f.c a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jimmie Koch, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Itupeva's Carlos Pernambucano. 7-0. In the 87th minute, Sidney Luz made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Pernambucano. Itupeva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. If Serginho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real lyons f.c walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
