The Timetendo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 34th minute Amílton de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weverton Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Vieira in the 37th minute of play forced Quincas SS's goalkeeper Basílio Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timetendo were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Quincas SS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Golo Kante took the corner. After 40 played minutes Quincas SS got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Linares. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The supporters of Timetendo booed when Quincas SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mazinho Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Quincas SS's Eliézer de Godoy got a free kick in the 59th minute. Paco Sobczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Paco Sobczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazinho Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Basílio Arantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timetendo.
