Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Renan Coelho started the match with the kick off. Nelson Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Esteves having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Romário Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freixeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unick FC the free kick. Romário Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Germano Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário Soares in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Otávio de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unick FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otávio de Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonsinho Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Pires in the 25th minute of play forced Freixeiras's goalkeeper Afonsinho Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Pires in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Freixeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Pires came free, but Afonsinho Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Otávio de Godoi sped through Freixeiras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Afonsinho Esteves. Moisés Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Germano Travassos made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Unick FC's Valdomiro Leite seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valdomiro Leite the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unick FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valdomiro Leite had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Unick FC! Ademir Mota walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Otávio de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Germano Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Coelho's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Romário Soares scored 2-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Germano Travassos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute Renan Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Freixeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Soares to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Waldemar Pires from long distance, 70 minutes into the match, got Afonsinho Esteves's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 71st minute, Nelson Ferreira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonsinho Esteves. The goal made the score 2-2. After having played for 75 minutes, Conrado Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unick FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Renan Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freixeiras's protests and gave Renan Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. Renan Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Cícero Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Mota in the 81st minute of play. Conrado Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Afonsinho Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Rafinha de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Otávio de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
