The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Macedo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dida Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 5 minutes, Telmo Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube do Remo and the Calcados players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Clube do Remo getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Telmo Linhares hit a great ball. Genílson Santos stood somewhat misplaced when Carlos Fernando Diniz came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 10 minute. Genílson Santos made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Carlos Fernando Diniz sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Genílson Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Burutzagi in the 21st minute of play. Genílson Santos came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo's Carlos Fernando Diniz. But to his dismay, Carlos Fernando Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Genílson Santos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anselmo Burutzagi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 28 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lenílson da Silva during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 34 in the game by Carlos Fernando Diniz from a close distance when the talented Genílson Santos managed to make a qualified save. Calcados's players were relieved. In the 35th minute, Fred Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando Diniz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genílson Santos having to make a save. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Britto to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Gugu Vides almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube do Remo's Doni Toscano did a great save. Cristóvão Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Clube do Remo got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Matorin. After 60 played minutes Clube do Remo got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Mara. Damiano Mara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Genílson Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernando Diniz's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Luciano Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calcados's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doni Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Calcados defense, Carlos Fernando Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genílson Santos. The Calcados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genílson Santos should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Gugu Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Burutzagi scored 6-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genílson Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 86 minutes, Telmo Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube do Remo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Fernando Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rodolfo Falcão came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Calcados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Falcão couldn't finish the play. Doni Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Britto in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Calcados's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Diniz came free, but Genílson Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clube do Remo fully deserved thier win.
