Birger Østgaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Marcelinho Quirino made a huge save. In the 9th minute Gil Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caldeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Birger Østgaard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelinho Quirino came out and tried to block the shot, but Birger Østgaard slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. Marcelinho Quirino made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Elivélton Meirelles sent off a good shot on target. Gil Alcântara hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Birger Østgaard made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Birger Østgaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caldeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Østgaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Celso Rossi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelinho Quirino. Pinga AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celso Rossi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Pinga AD's Marcelinho Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Rosa in the 60th minute of play. Marcelinho Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafinha Monteiro in the 61st minute of the match. Álvaro Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Alcântara in the 63rd minute of the match. Marcelinho Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caldeira FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Mendonça during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Caldeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Mendonça. In the 87th minute, Birger Østgaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelinho Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafinha Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcinho Pimenta's late challenge caught a Caldeira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Pinga AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Pimenta to maneuver through the defense.
