Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dorival Nogueira kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Diguinho Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Severino Batista fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamboral's protests and gave Severino Batista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tamboral getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Severino Batista hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, one of Tamboral:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th match minute, Tamboral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Albertino Arantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Passos's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Tamboral got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Nogueira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Passos in the 26th minute of play forced Tamboral's goalkeeper Albertino Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tamboral's Dorival Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldo Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronaldo Rosa hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Albertino Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Passos in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Balanca's Rafinha Mattos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albertino Arantes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Dorival Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamboral's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Sérgio de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Tamboral's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Passos came free, but Albertino Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diguinho Passos made a kick off. Diguinho Passos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Albertino Arantes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 54th play minute Diguinho Passos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Albertino Arantes. 0-4. After 67 played minutes Balanca got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Rosa. Alfredão Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. With his leg Albertino Arantes managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Balanca's Diguinho Passos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tamboral's Albertino Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Passos in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Diguinho Passos could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Albertino Arantes however easily saved by the left post. 86 minutes into the match, Tamboral's goalkeeper Albertino Arantes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diguinho Passos. Albertino Arantes made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Diguinho Passos sent off a good shot on target. Zé Paulo Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Nogueira in the 93rd minute of the match. Balanca's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
