After some careless play in the Sousa Barbosa SC defense, Romeu Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Travassos. The Sousa Barbosa SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fábio Travassos should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the game, Alex Dante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Fábio Travassos. Alex Dante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 33 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaipuaçu Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sousa Barbosa SC the free kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fábio Travassos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes into the game, one of Sousa Barbosa SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Itaipuaçu Futebol Clube a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Severino de Senna, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sousa Barbosa SC's Luís Fábio Travassos. 7-1.
