Patrick Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Rodolfo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When László György came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Nacional Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that László György couldn't finish the play. Augusto Peixoto hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Marquinhos de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László György in the 30th minute of the match. Rodolfo Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Neiva having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Farinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional Futebol Clube's zone, Marquinhos de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilton Oliveira came out of the goal and Marquinhos de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute of the match, László György got a very nice opportunity to score, but Patrick Neiva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Nacional Futebol Clube's László György sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Neiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Augusto Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Farinha:s Patrick Neiva showed great skill when he stopped László György:s penalty. László György's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Patrick Neiva firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 86 minutes Farinha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chico Lopes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nacional Futebol Clube's Chico Lopes to fire away a dangerous shot which Patrick Neiva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. László György's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus de Souza in the 92nd minute of play forced Nacional Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Wilton Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When László György came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Nacional Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that László György couldn't finish the play. Farinha succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Nacional Futebol Clube had controlled the match.
