With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salgada SC's Adriano Arruda was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 11th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Salgada SC's Adriano Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Naldo Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龙光卫, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Adriano Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Naldo Lucas managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Salgada SC's 龙光卫 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Washington Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. 石旭森 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Salgada SC's Geovani Valadares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Naldo Lucas. Naldo Lucas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Faria to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Paulão Juan put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Naldo Lucas. Naldo Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 龙光卫's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 石旭森 made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Mário Faria sent off a good shot on target. After 72 played minutes Salgada SC got a freekick which was hit by Igor da Costa. If Adriano Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Lucas having to interfere. The audience was convinced that 龙光卫's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Naldo Lucas was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Eduardo Lara hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
