An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Luiz Fábio Azevedo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pedras AD's Franklin Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Dante in the 13th minute of play. Venceslau's Ademir Dante managed to work through Pedras AD's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ademir Dante dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Luiz Fábio Azevedos short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Franklin Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Reinaldo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Ademir Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedras AD's Franklin Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Azevedo in the 27th minute of play. Zé Carlos do Nascimento, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 34th minute, Dionísio Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pedras AD's Olívio Recife got a free kick in the 41st minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ademir Dante made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fábio Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Diamantino Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Venceslau's goalkeeper Reinaldo Romero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dionísio Fernandes. In the 66th match minute, Pedras AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Franklin Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ademir Dante went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute of the match, Dionísio Fernandes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reinaldo Romero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 77 minutes into the game, Ademir Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Franklin Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ademir Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franklin Brito having to make a save. Franklin Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Azevedo in the 81st minute of play. When Ademir Dante came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Venceslau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Dante couldn't finish the play. Kauan Alagoano hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Pedras AD's Dionísio Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Venceslau had played much better football throughout.
