The audience was convinced that Geovani Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexsandro Silveira was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the game, Badajos FC's Tales Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexsandro Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Tales Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badajos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Japiim's goalkeeper Alexsandro Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geovani Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Silveira having to interfere. Alexsandro Silveira made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Tales Neto sent off a good shot on target. Geovani Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Tales Neto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexsandro Silveira. Japiim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tales Neto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tales Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alexsandro Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wiliam Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexsandro Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olavo Fontes's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Tales Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tales Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexsandro Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tales Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexsandro Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Paiva in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Geovani Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badajos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tales Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alexsandro Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovani Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Vânderson Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japiim's supporters rose to their feet, but Vânderson Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luiz Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Alexsandro Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
