Chico de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Coutinho in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes in the game, Ciro Damião fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Chico de Almeida having to interfere. In the 26th play minute Luizão Rosado came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Chico de Almeida. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Pocinhos FC's Luizão Rosado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chico de Almeida. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Mineiro to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Pocinhos FC's João Augusto Nascimento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chico de Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chico de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute João Augusto Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manoel Vieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Sidney Paes made a huge save. Pocinhos FC's Waldemar Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Renan Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chico de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Augusto Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Waldemar Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almir Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Damião in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chico de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Araqua's Chico de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Damião in the 87th minute of play. Ciro Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico de Almeida having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Luizão Rosado notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Araqua's Chico de Almeida. Chico de Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pocinhos FC had played much better football throughout.
