Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marquinhos Velasco took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Itararé F.C's Carlos do Nascimento got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Caroa FC got a corner. Itararé F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tarcisio Tróia ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tarcisio Tróia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Veloso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 12th minute, Orlando Salgado made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Veloso. Itararé F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 16 played minutes Caroa FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Paraense. In the 17th minute, Itararé F.C's Breno de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudinei Hoffmann. Claudinei Hoffmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Caroa FC's Carlinhos Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Cássio Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itararé F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caroa FC the free kick. Cássio Quintal hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Carlos Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Velasco in the 28th minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Claudinei Hoffmann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Varela in the 36th minute of play forced Itararé F.C's goalkeeper Carlos Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Itararé F.C's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Hoffmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Itararé F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Velasco came free, but Carlos Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caroa FC's Marquinhos Velasco suffered a concussion in the 42nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Washington Sanches during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Itararé F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caroa FC:s goal. Carlos do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Caroa FC's Tarcisio Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breno de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinei Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlinhos Varela struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Carlos Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caroa FC. Gildo Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tarcisio Tróia lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 77th minute, one of Caroa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caroa FC. The audience was convinced that Breno de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Hoffmann was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Breno de Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinei Hoffmann having to make a save. Cássio Quintal was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 90th minute, Cássio Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Itararé F.C support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
