Ipauanema's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arapongas F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Arapongas F.C. booed when Ipauanema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Donato having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Marinho in the 16th minute of play forced Arapongas F.C.'s goalkeeper Emanuel Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maurício Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Arapongas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Gerber couldn't finish the play. In the 25th match minute, Ipauanema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Marinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Arapongas F.C.'s Joélson Ferraz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Guilherme Donato. Luís Guilherme Donato yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 30th minute, Claudinei Gaúcho made a precise shot to the right of Luís Guilherme Donato. Ipauanema's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrézinho Cerezo during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ipauanema's Andrézinho Cerezo got a free kick in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinei Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. Arapongas F.C.'s Emanuel Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Marinho in the 52nd minute of play. Claudinei Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Guilherme Donato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinei Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute, Roger Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes, Fernando Pombal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipauanema and the Arapongas F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ipauanema getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fernando Pombal hit a great ball. Arapongas F.C.'s Emanuel Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Marinho in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Ricardinho Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match Ipauanema got a corner. Arapongas F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denílson Vieira ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Denílson Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emanuel Alvarenga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 71st match minute, Arapongas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Lopez's late challenge caught a Ipauanema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Eduardo Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Arapongas F.C.'s Eduardo Lopez got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Eduardo Lopez off the ground. Maurício Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Luís Guilherme Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Maurício Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arapongas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ipauanema's zone, Joélson Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Donato came out of the goal and Joélson Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinei Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arapongas F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
