Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fabinho Veiga made the kick off which started today's match. Robinho de Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 15th minute Fabinho Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertopolis's Vítor Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Bertopolis from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes Principe FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Prata. Agnaldo Cunha hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agnaldo Cunha got free with Vítor Mendes in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th play minute Agnaldo Cunha came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vítor Mendes. 1-1. Agnaldo Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Cido Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Roberto Severo made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho Veiga got free with Robinho de Godoi in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Principe FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Baltazar Rosado hit a great ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Principe FC's goalkeeper Robinho de Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agnaldo Cunha's late challenge caught a Bertopolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agnaldo Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bertopolis booed when Principe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Severo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertopolis's Fabinho Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Fabinho Veiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robinho de Godoi. Fabinho Veiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Fabinho Veigas short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Robinho de Godoi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 75 minutes into the game, Maurinho Barreto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bertopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Principe FC the free kick. In the 75th minute, Maurinho Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Principe FC's goalkeeper Robinho de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabinho Veiga. When Agnaldo Cunha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Principe FC's Agnaldo Cunha got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Maurinho Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. Vítor Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Principe FC. Bertopolis's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
