Agnaldo Cunha's late challenge caught a MI BR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agnaldo Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Principe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Cunha to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Robinho de Godoi throw himself and got hold of the ball when Afonsinho Eger in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Principe FC's Robinho de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonsinho Eger in the 17th minute of play. The Principe FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Principe FC's Roberto Severo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Principe FC's Robinho de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonsinho Eger in the 29th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Egídio Bezerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MI BR's Frank Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th match minute, MI BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Eger to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in MI BR's zone, Egídio Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Fernandes came out of the goal and Egídio Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes MI BR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvério Negri who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Silvério Negri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MI BR's Frank Fernandes did a great save. Egídio Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, MI BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson de Castro to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Severo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frank Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Severo in the 64th minute of play. Frank Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Bezerra in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Roberto Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Fernandes was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Egídio Bezerra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Frank Fernandes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Egídio Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Frank Fernandes made a huge save.
