The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gualter Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The supporters of City booed when Andradina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Andradina's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Secco came free, but André Luís Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Andradina's zone, Gualter Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Borges came out of the goal and Gualter Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute of the game, Erik Paulista landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Gualter Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís Borges having to interfere. City's Gualter Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualter Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Válbson Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving André Luís Borges. That made the score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play. In the 45th minute, Válbson Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Paulinho Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andradina's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualter Bastos made a kick off. Gualter Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. André Luís Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Andradina got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Neto. André Luís Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Gualter Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Nuno Secco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Mendonça hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Gualter Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. André Luís Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, City's William Schmidt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luís Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. André Luís Borges came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by City's Gualter Bastos. But to his dismay, Gualter Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. André Luís Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Bastos in the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that City were the better team. City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
