When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mané Nascimento made a kick off. The supporters of Ceara Sporting Club booed when Icaissara SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mané Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 60 minutes into the game, when César Antunes put in a rough tackle. In the 60th minute, one of Ceara Sporting Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ceara Sporting Club. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Tepedino in the 69th minute of play forced Icaissara SC's goalkeeper Jano Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano Nascimento having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Raphael Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ceara Sporting Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ceara Sporting Club fully deserved thier win.
