An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Correia in the 18th minute of play forced Quesst Villan FC's goalkeeper Gerson Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Guga Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Filiberto Mambru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quesst Villan FC's Gerson Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Guga Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerson Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Gerson Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Mambru in the 33rd minute of the match. Filiberto Mambru took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerson Marquez. Gerson Marquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Filiberto Mambru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddie Månsson struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Gerson Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montes Claros F.C.. Filiberto Mambru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filiberto Mambru to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Quesst Villan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Mambru came free, but Gerson Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 played minutes, Montes Claros F.C.'s Natanael Teixeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerson Marquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montes Claros F.C. reached it. Bernardinho Freire came free in the 59th minute and tried to tip the ball over Mauro Pernambucano, but to the joy of Montes Claros F.C.'s supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. A collision led to Montes Claros F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Filiberto Mambru hit a great ball. Guga Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerson Marquez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Guga Correia. 73 minutes into the match, Quesst Villan FC's goalkeeper Gerson Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filiberto Mambru. When %teams%'s Filiberto Mambru was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-4 just inside the left pole, 77 minutes into the game. Gerson Marquez was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Quesst Villan FC's zone, Guga Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Marquez came out of the goal and Guga Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiberto Mambru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerson Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Filiberto Mambru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Marquez having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Baptista during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes Quesst Villan FC got a freekick which was hit by Durval Baptista. Natanael Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
