Leopoldo Neiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Teodoro de Godoy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, Binhas Zone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Magno Antunes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teodoro de Godoy, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzeiro E.C's zone, Marquinhos Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni da Cunha came out of the goal and Marquinhos Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Binhas Zone getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rubinho Vidal hit a great ball. Leopoldo Neiva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 24th playminute. Wilian Custódio hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th match minute, Cruzeiro E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Aleandro Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Magno Antunes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teodoro de Godoy. The goal made the score 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magno Antunes was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Binhas Zone getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gabriel Mendes hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Leopoldo Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard, long distance shot from Marquinhos Ortiz flew over the goal. The supporters of Cruzeiro E.C booed when Binhas Zone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro de Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84thth minute of the game Magno Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Binhas Zone's Teodoro de Godoy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Antunes in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro de Godoy saved Binhas Zone from getting behind. When Cruzeiro E.C's Magno Antunes in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
