Spectators: 7271 (Terracing: 5455, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mazinho Cerezo started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Douglas Massa sped through Guatapora EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edu Senna. Douglas Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Senna having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Eliseu Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Sidnei Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséias Rezende hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Edu Senna was a little too slow when Dito Pitta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. With a little luck, Guatapora EC's Edu Senna got control of the ball when Douglas Massa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Caete FC booed when Guatapora EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Massa got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 3-0 in the right cross in the 38th match minute before Edu Senna had time to react. Edu Senna made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Douglas Massa sent off a good shot on target. Guatapora EC's Edu Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Pitta in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglas Massa to make the kick off. Mazinho Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Caete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Dito Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Senna having to interfere. Douglas Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Ezequiel Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Guatapora EC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Massa came free, but Edu Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes, Sidnei Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guatapora EC and the Caete FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caete FC booed when Guatapora EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Douglas Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dito Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Décio Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Cerezo in the 74th minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guatapora EC's goalkeeper Edu Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guatapora EC's zone, Dito Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Senna came out of the goal and Dito Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edu Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Pitta in the 90th minute of play. Douglas Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Mazinho Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guatapora EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caete FC fully deserved thier win.
