The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ximen Maliaño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ximen Maliaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Henrique Guimarães took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mauro Rosado to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th match minute, Camatei SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Tupi SS's Ximen Maliaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Brasil in the 16th minute of play. Nelson Loureiro scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ximen Maliaño, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Souto in the 26th minute of play forced Tupi SS's goalkeeper Ximen Maliaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nelson Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes of play, Camatei SS's Ernani da Fonseca made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ximen Maliaño was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mauro Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Guimarães in the 33rd minute. Tupi SS's Ximen Maliaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani da Fonseca in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Nelson Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximen Maliaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Henrique Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camatei SS's Mauro Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute Cássio Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximen Maliaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agenor Santos's late challenge caught a Camatei SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agenor Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Agenor Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Camatei SS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Brasil to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Guimarães in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Rosado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Brasil in the 54th minute of play forced Tupi SS's goalkeeper Ximen Maliaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Tupi SS's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Aparecido came free, but Ximen Maliaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ximen Maliaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ximen Maliaño was a little too slow when Marcus Brasil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 75th minute, Henrique Guimarães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tupi SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Ernani da Fonseca hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Henrique Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Rosado was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. After 84 minutes, Henrique Guimarães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tupi SS and the Camatei SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tupi SS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Henrique Guimarães hit a great ball. Ximen Maliaño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Brasil in the 86th minute of the match. Ximen Maliaño made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ernani da Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Tupi SS defense, Cássio Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ximen Maliaño. The Tupi SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ximen Maliaño should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Jeferson Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Guimarães was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Tupi SS's Henrique Guimarães got a free kick in the 96th minute.
