Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirnes Šehić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. CJ Craddock was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 24th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but CJ Craddock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mohamed El Hadrioui kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. CJ Craddock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrés D'Alessandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Netherlands's Bas Tuitert got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Andrés D'Alessandro came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. CJ Craddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without CJ Craddock having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrés D'Alessandro in the 51st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Foda's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but CJ Craddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of CJ Craddock. Foda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. CJ Craddock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. CJ Craddock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 70th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but CJ Craddock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Mirnes Šehić came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Lars Meesters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of CJ Craddock. That made the score 0-5 after 72 minutes of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without CJ Craddock having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, CJ Craddock skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Netherlands's Sijmen Clous was substituted for Wim Wilmes. In the 87th minute, Bilge Kağan Usberk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CJ Craddock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 92nd minute. CJ Craddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sijmen Clous in the 94th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. CJ Craddock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 97th minute.
