Spectators: 7290 (Terracing: 5470, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Roy Keane made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulisses Zanette during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Esteira! Zézinho Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Takis Konstantinou in the 10th minute. Roy Keane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Roy Keane elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Takis Konstantinou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Soares having to interfere. A collision led to Velha Guarda getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Duda Brasil hit a great ball. With his leg Zézinho Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Velha Guarda's Takis Konstantinou fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Takis Konstantinou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velha Guarda's supporters rose to their feet, but Takis Konstantinou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zézinho Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Keane, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The attack was good, but when Roy Keane in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Zézinho Soares came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Velha Guarda's Takis Konstantinou. But to his dismay, Takis Konstantinou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Roberto Teixeira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Esteira's Roberto Teixeira got a free kick in the 47th minute.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Dias in the 52nd minute of play forced Esteira's goalkeeper Zézinho Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roy Keane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Velha Guarda fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Velha Guarda's Roy Keane looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Takis Konstantinou struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Zézinho Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velha Guarda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takis Konstantinou in the 70th minute of play forced Esteira's goalkeeper Zézinho Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zézinho Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Konstantinou in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takis Konstantinou in the 72nd minute of play forced Esteira's goalkeeper Zézinho Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Takis Konstantinou took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zézinho Soares. Zézinho Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Zézinho Soares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Takis Konstantinou went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Zézinho Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Keane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Roy Keane sped through Esteira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zézinho Soares. Esteira's Zézinho Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Keane in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Roy Keane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velha Guarda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esteira the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Velha Guarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Keane to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Esteira getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Furtado hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Velha Guarda players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
