Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Rodrigues in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doni Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ricardo Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Horácio Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zarinha's goalkeeper Pedrão Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Horácio Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pedrão Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tião Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zarinha's protests and gave Tião Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. 14 minutes into the game, one of Zarinha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jetiba a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marco Ortiz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zarinha's Pedrão Moreno. 0-1. Jetiba's Horácio Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ian Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Jetiba booed when Zarinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrão Moreno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Horácio Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Pedrão Moreno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clemente Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Zarinha's Luís Guilherme Prado got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Rodrigues in the 71st minute of play forced Zarinha's goalkeeper Pedrão Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Jetiba booed when Zarinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrão Moreno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ian Rodrigues showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zarinha's Cesinha Godoi got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Jetiba getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Diogo de Souza hit a great ball. Zarinha's Pedrão Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Rodrigues in the 81st minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Horácio Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedrão Moreno. Horácio Borges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Doni Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ricardo Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jetiba's Jorge Paes got a free kick in the 100th minute. Diogo de Souza's late challenge caught a Zarinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. The Zarinha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jetiba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
