Nico Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitinho Mesquita in the 21st minute. Gilvan Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Secco having to interfere. Juninho Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Juan Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Paraense having to interfere. With a little luck, AZÃO FC's Nico Paraense got control of the ball when Vitinho Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vitinho Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nico Paraense having to make a save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juninho Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of AZÃO FC booed when Galáticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilvan Lago had several of the Galáticos's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Juan Secco as he didn't even see the shot coming. Juan Secco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Vinhas in the 70th minute. When Dráuzio Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Galáticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Galáticos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Gilvan Lago scored to the left of an out of position Juan Secco, making the score, 0-2. After 92 played minutes AZÃO FC got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Marquez. Júlio Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Galáticos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AZÃO FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
