In the 37th match minute, Galáticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Pirani to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Galáticos booed when Ipuzinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match, Vitinho Mesquita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amílton Pires was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Vitinho Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Galáticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Mesquita couldn't finish the play. If Dráuzio Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wellington Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Ipuzinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Neto. Galáticos's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 73rd minute of the game, when Aníbal Siqueira after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Ipuzinho FC's goal. Aníbal Siqueira was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Tarcisio Paraíba hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Pedro Augusto Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Galáticos's Dráuzio Tinoco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amílton Pires. That made the score 0-2 after 86 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Galáticos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
