They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marcinho Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Erasmo Peres made a huge save. Erasmo Peres was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Vivaldo dos Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vivaldo dos Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 63rd minute, Júnior Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Sá in the 65th minute of play forced Carnaubeira's goalkeeper Erasmo Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Lopes got free with Erasmo Peres in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Jucal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After 77 played minutes Jucal got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Cabral. 94 minutes into the match, Carnaubeira's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Cabral came free, but Erasmo Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 played minutes Carnaubeira got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Lucas. In the 98th minute of the match Kléberson Paraíba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erasmo Peres skillfully saved the ball. Jucal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
