Eduardo da Silveira hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Porto Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Mendonça came free, but Alex Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Tadeu Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Virgílio Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Esconso EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Alex Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Virgílio Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Esconso EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Mendonça couldn't finish the play. If Kléberson de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Esconso EC's Kléberson de Azevedo in 32 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Alex Proença guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 32 minutes into the game, Erivaldo Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porto Villa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esconso EC the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Erivaldo Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgílio Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Proença having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Virgílio Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porto Villa FC's Alex Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Mendonça in the 42nd minute of play forced Porto Villa FC's goalkeeper Alex Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Proença came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Esconso EC's Virgílio Mendonça. But to his dismay, Virgílio Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Porto Villa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esconso EC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Virgílio Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Armindo Zanette almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Porto Villa FC's Alex Proença did a great save. Adalberto Barros's late challenge caught a Esconso EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Porto Villa FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Adalberto Barros hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Kléberson de Azevedo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Haroldo Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Barros in the 59th minute of the match. If Kléberson de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esconso EC's Virgílio Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Virgílio Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esconso EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Mendonça in the 67th minute of play forced Porto Villa FC's goalkeeper Alex Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Kléberson de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Mendonça in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Proença saved Porto Villa FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Mendonça in the 84th minute of play forced Porto Villa FC's goalkeeper Alex Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Kléberson de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esconso EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléberson de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 minutes, Serafim Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porto Villa FC and the Esconso EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kléberson de Azevedo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alex Proença firmly grabbed it by the left post. During the 93rd minute of the match Erivaldo Teles completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Erivaldo Teles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Esconso EC booed when Porto Villa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esconso EC played a much better game than Porto Villa FC and deserved their victory. The Porto Villa FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
