The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tostão da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovanni Abraão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caco Nunes went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caco Nunes in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovanni Abraão saved Setor H from getting behind. 14 minutes into the game, Baltazar Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legion del Ganso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Setor H the free kick. A collision led to Legion del Ganso getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Baltazar Pinheiro hit a great ball. Geovanni Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Nunes in the 21st minute of play. Geovanni Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão da Silveira in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Nunes in the 24th minute of play forced Setor H's goalkeeper Geovanni Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovanni Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão da Silveira in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Caco Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legion del Ganso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caco Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tostão da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Legion del Ganso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão da Silveira couldn't finish the play. Geovanni Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Setor H's zone, Baltazar Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni Abraão came out of the goal and Baltazar Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Legion del Ganso were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel Cardozo was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Legion del Ganso's Caco Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Geovanni Abraão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caco Nunes in the 60th minute. Geovanni Abraão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tostão da Silveira's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tostão da Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Geovanni Abraão. That made the score 0-3 in the 84 minute of play. Geovanni Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão da Silveira in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão da Silveira in the 92nd minute of play forced Setor H's goalkeeper Geovanni Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Caco Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Legion del Ganso played a much better game than Setor H and deserved their victory. The Setor H players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
