Guillermo Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Valle having to interfere. John Lennon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adriano Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Blanco in the 44th minute of the match. Adriano Valle came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by PARTENON.RS's Guillermo Blanco. But to his dismay, Guillermo Blanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovânio Galvão during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 52 minutes into the game, one of Grêmio Esportivo Hamburgo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 58 minutes into the game, PARTENON.RS's John Lennon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriano Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. A collision led to PARTENON.RS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sidnei Barbosa hit a great ball. Leonardo Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Grêmio Esportivo Hamburgo's Adriano Valle got control of the ball when John Lennon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diogo Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute, Diogo Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Blanco might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adriano Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Blanco ran back to his position shaking his head. 78 minutes into the game, Guillermo Blanco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adriano Valle. Guillermo Blanco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Cristóvão Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grêmio Esportivo Hamburgo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guillermo Blanco 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. PARTENON.RS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
