The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natanael Meira was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Guto Penha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guto Penha really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A hard shot 7 in the game by Vicente Freitas from a close distance when the talented Natanael Meira managed to make a qualified save. Atlético de Santo André's players were relieved. Natanael Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Penha in the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Vicente Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GTS-FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of GTS-FC booed when Atlético de Santo André was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Santo André's Kauan Siqueira got a free kick in the 18th minute. Jean Mangueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Natanael Meira. Atlético de Santo André's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to GTS-FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Luís Vieira hit a great ball. Gilson Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Rodrigues having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Dinei Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético de Santo André's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinei Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Vicente Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natanael Meira. Atlético de Santo André's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Samuca Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Sarmento in the 33rd minute of play. Gilson Sarmento scored 2-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuca Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, GTS-FC's Luisão Félix got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. Dinei Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Samuca Rodrigues made a huge save. Vicente Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinei Batista took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuca Rodrigues. Samuca Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Samuca Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Atlético de Santo André's Natanael Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Penha in the 92nd minute of play. Guto Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Natanael Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Vicente Freitas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natanael Meira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Despite being the better team, GTS-FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
