Betinho Hames placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Hernani Lara came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Convenfo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Lara couldn't finish the play. Hernani Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Novaes having to interfere. 46 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Convenfo's Gabriel Ortiz fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Tiaraju SS's Eliézer Salles got a free kick in the 47th minute. Murilo Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Ortiz in the 48th minute of the match. The Tiaraju SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Convenfo were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Queirós was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Betinho Hames shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murilo Novaes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Aníbal Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Convenfo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiaraju SS the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Convenfo's zone, Douglas Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Vale came out of the goal and Douglas Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Túlio Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiaraju SS. 70 minutes into the match, Gabriel Ortiz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tiaraju SS's Murilo Novaes. Murilo Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 75th match minute, Convenfo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Chaves to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Tiaraju SS's goalkeeper Murilo Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernani Lara. Rony Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Vale having to interfere. Túlio Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Convenfo's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Cardozo came free, but Túlio Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Hernani Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Túlio Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Convenfo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
