In the 14th minute, Agostinho Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson Xavier during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Válbson Zonta didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Válbson Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Braga in the 26th minute of the match. Joel Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Areal's Válbson Zonta got control of the ball when Téo Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aníbal Braga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Válbson Zonta having to make a save. Válbson Zonta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Tavares in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Braga to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Arthur Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Areal and the Derramado players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Areal's Arthur Fernandez got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Aníbal Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derramado's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válbson Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joel Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Paraíba having to interfere. Agostinho Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Durvalino Matorin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Derramado's Ismael Paraíba didn't even have to move. In the 81st minute, Aníbal Braga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Derramado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 85 minutes into the match, Joel Tavares notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Areal's Válbson Zonta. Válbson Zonta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Aníbal Braga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Válbson Zonta. Areal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Válbson Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Paraíba having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Areal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Derramado.
