Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Guapiacu EC's Agnaldo Maia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Noel Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Baptista in the 3rd minute of play. Sílvio Luís Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 minutes of play, Viveiros's Laerte Mendonça made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualter Damião was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sílvio Luís Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agnaldo Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Lira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Agnaldo Maia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Noel Lira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gustavo Vaz hit a great ball. Noel Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Maia in the 34th minute of the match. Agnaldo Maia had several of the Viveiros's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 42 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Noel Lira as he didn't even see the shot coming. Guapiacu EC's Agnaldo Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Laerte Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Viveiros getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Wilson de Barros hit a great ball. If Sílvio Luís Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Maia in the 55th minute of the match. Noel Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Baptista in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Viveiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Koehler to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes, Ulysses Loyola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guapiacu EC and the Viveiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Viveiros booed when Guapiacu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualter Damião made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Jorge Rosa sent off a good shot on target. Sílvio Luís Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Noel Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viveiros's Noel Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Maia in the 72nd minute of play. Sílvio Luís Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Lira having to interfere. Guapiacu EC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Viveiros to leave the ground with a draw.
