When Luiz Fernando Britto came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Araçatubense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Britto couldn't finish the play. Rafal Wolczewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 8 minutes, Natã Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luterano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natã Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Edmundo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Dante in the 13th minute of play. Henrique Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Fernandes having to interfere. Edmundo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Henrique Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Frederico Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edmundo Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Frederico Dante put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edmundo Fernandes. Frederico Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Edmundo Fernandes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Luterano FC's Frederico Dante. But to his dismay, Frederico Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Frederico Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando Britto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natã Meireles in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Edmundo Fernandes managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Luterano FC's Frederico Dante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With his leg Edmundo Fernandes managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Luterano FC's Frederico Dante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 60 minutes into the match, Araçatubense's goalkeeper Edmundo Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Dante. In the 62nd minute, Rogério Senna made a precise shot to the right of Rafal Wolczewski. Luterano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cléber Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléber Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Araçatubense got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Matos. When Rato Viado fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luterano FC's protests and gave Rato Viado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Luterano FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rato Viado hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, Maurício Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Araçatubense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luterano FC the free kick. A collision led to Araçatubense getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Maurício Tinoco hit a great ball. If Rogério Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Meireles in the 81st minute of play. Frederico Dante took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmundo Fernandes. Edmundo Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Frederico Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luterano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luterano FC played a much better game than Araçatubense and deserved their victory. The Araçatubense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
