Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joaquim Braga made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Donatello Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gesteira SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Donatello Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doni Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Alagoano in the 9th minute of play. If Lucas Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Gesteira SC's Luiz Paulo Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Gesteira SC from getting a goal against them. Pedrinho Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Passos in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Donatello Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gesteira SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Doni Vides in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Paulo Cardoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 30 minutes, Lucas Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brutus FS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute Edson Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Vides got free with Luiz Paulo Cardoso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Paulo Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gesteira SC's Luiz Paulo Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Gesteira SC from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Passos to make the kick off. Angelo Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Pedrinho Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gesteira SC's Luiz Paulo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Braga in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Vaz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gesteira SC's Luiz Paulo Cardoso. Luiz Paulo Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Joaquim Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Brutus FS's Pedrinho Barral got control of the ball when Ramón Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquim Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doni Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Cardoso having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Angelo Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edson Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Paulo Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edson Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Edson Alagoano put in a rough tackle. Pedrinho Barral had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Genílson Barros's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Pedrinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doni Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Doni Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Doni Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 played minutes Brutus FS got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Vaz. Doni Vides might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Paulo Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doni Vides ran back to his position shaking his head. When Angelo Passos fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gesteira SC's protests and gave Angelo Passos a yellow card for diving instead. Gesteira SC's Luiz Paulo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Braga in the 97th minute of play. Brutus FS's Pedrinho Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Brutus FS from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Brutus FS were the better team. Brutus FS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
