Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edmílson Couto kicked off to start the match. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Edmílson Couto sped through Maldonarte FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chicão Veloso. A well placed Claudinei Rocha short distance shot in the 7th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 11th minute Edmílson Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Maldonarte FC's Sebastião Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemente Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Cabriuva FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Flávio Leite hit a great ball. Clemente Sarmento was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tiaguinho Vander. If Claudinei Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Clemente Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Maldonarte FC booed when Cabriuva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Ortega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Teixeira came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clemente Sarmento could save by the left post. Clemente Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Rocha in the 27th minute of the match. Chicão Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Vincente Ortega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Maldonarte FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Torres. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Edmílson Couto sped through Maldonarte FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chicão Veloso. Maldonarte FC's Chicão Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Couto in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Claudinei Rocha made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fabrício Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Maldonarte FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Claudinei Rocha hit a great ball. Cabriuva FC's Edmílson Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Maldonarte FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Donato. The Cabriuva FC fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Cabriuva FC's Edmílson Couto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Couto in the 68th minute of play forced Maldonarte FC's goalkeeper Chicão Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chicão Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Chicão Veloso made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Vincente Ortega sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, Cabriuva FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Rocha came free, but Clemente Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chicão Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmílson Couto's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 94th minute, one of Cabriuva FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cabriuva FC. The Maldonarte FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cabriuva FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
