Paulo José Botelho made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 19thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Valdo Batista would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Frank Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdo Batista was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Paulo José Botelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdo Batista. Taiacui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo José Botelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Chiquinho Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Frank Pombal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdo Batista, 3-0. When Leonel Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taiacui's protests and gave Leonel Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of clube da esperança booed when Taiacui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbson das Neves's late challenge caught a clube da esperança's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, clube da esperança's Aníbal Vianna tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Paraibano was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo José Botelho in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdo Batista saved Taiacui from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, Matheus Meireles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdo Batista. Taiacui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matheus Meireles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When Leonel Paraibano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. The supporters of clube da esperança booed when Taiacui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Taiacui's zone, Frank Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Batista came out of the goal and Frank Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute Frank Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Frank Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Valdo Batista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benê Britto charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benê Britto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 75 minutes into the game, one of Taiacui:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aníbal Vianna placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 6-0 became the score in the 88th minute when Durval Viana elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durval Viana in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdo Batista saved Taiacui from getting behind. clube da esperança's Chiquinho Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save clube da esperança from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, clube da esperança's Waldemar Campidelis got a free kick in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Durval Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdo Batista. Taiacui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the referee ended the match the clube da esperança players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
