Telmo Prestes took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Torres. Hílton Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto Vander in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Torres saved Buriti from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Telmo Prestes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Buriti's Hílton Torres. Hílton Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute, Telmo Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Moscas FC's Umberto Vander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Umberto Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hílton Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Telmo Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moscas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Naldo Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buriti's Hílton Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Prestes in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Buriti booed when Moscas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hílton Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Buriti's Hílton Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Buriti from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Buriti's Hílton Torres got control of the ball when Telmo Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Umberto Vander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hílton Torres was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 95th minute Umberto Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Moscas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buriti throughout the match.
