The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Jaquary AD defense, Chico Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Xavier. The Jaquary AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Xavier should have stopped the shot. Acácio Marinho charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Acácio Marinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luiz Eduardo da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Edmundo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chico Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes, Daier FC's Wiliam Porto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donato Xavier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Daier FC reached it. The audience was convinced that Chico Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Xavier was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When Chico Costa came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Daier FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Costa couldn't finish the play. After the first half Daier FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Chico Costa made the kick off in the second half. Chico Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 52ndth minute of the game Chico Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaquary AD's Donato Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donato Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldão Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edmundo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. The referee gave Daier FC a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wiliam Porto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jaquary AD's Donato Xavier. 0-5. Chico Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Xavier having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jaquary AD's zone, Chico Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Xavier came out of the goal and Chico Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Acácio Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Daier FC's Luiz Eduardo da Cunha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. If Chico Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daier FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
