But to his dismay, Nando Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Enrique Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kaká Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Donato to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Enrique Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaká Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ronaldo Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, REAL MADRID's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Donato came free, but Kaká Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nando Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th match minute, REAL MADRID was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. If Enrique Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, REAL MADRID's Luiz Fabiano Vinhas got a free kick in the 25th minute. Kaká Prestes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Santana's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Alex Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vítor Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Enrique Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luan Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Prestes having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Nando Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronaldo Santana struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Kaká Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. When Zézinho Reis fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Zézinho Reis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of REAL MADRID booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chile's Vítor Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Enrique Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Prestes having to interfere. After the first half Chile were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Chile's Ronaldo Santana in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye REAL MADRID's goalie prevented a goal. Acácio Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Chile's Ronaldo Santana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kaká Prestes. Kaká Prestes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Luan Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Santana in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in REAL MADRID's zone, Nando Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká Prestes came out of the goal and Nando Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldo Santana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Kaká Prestes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 65th match minute, REAL MADRID was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. Nando Santos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ronaldo Santanas short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Kaká Prestes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nando Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaká Prestes having to make a save. Kaká Prestes made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ronaldo Santana sent off a good shot on target. REAL MADRID's Kaká Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save REAL MADRID from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Santos in the 77th minute of play forced REAL MADRID's goalkeeper Kaká Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Ronaldo Santana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 85 minutes into the match, REAL MADRID's goalkeeper Kaká Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Santana. Nando Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Nando Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than REAL MADRID.
