The supporters of Matai booed when Cuiary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cuiary's Nildo Almeida in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matai's goalie prevented a goal. If Nildo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Almeida in the 36th minute of the match. With a little luck, Cuiary's Gil Pombal got control of the ball when Léo Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matías Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Brodel having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, Cuiary's Nildo Almeida made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredão Brodel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieguinho Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Matai's zone, Nildo Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Brodel came out of the goal and Nildo Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Matías Sanches fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfredão Brodel, passed just outside the right post. Cuiary's Nildo Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Léo Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Oséas Abraão took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Alfredão Brodel to make any attempt to save it. 66 minutes into the match, Nildo Almeida notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Matai's Alfredão Brodel. Alfredão Brodel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséas Abraão during the 69th minute. Dieguinho Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gil Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Dieguinho Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The Matai fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cuiary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
