The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Tiros EC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Chris Probosutedjo hit a great ball. In the 6th minute João Pedro de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Cristóvão Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Przemyslaw Buda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Catarinense having to interfere. Przemyslaw Buda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kléber Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Tiros EC's Przemyslaw Buda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kléber Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Válbson Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Válbson Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiros EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Caetano da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Paulo Massa in the 25th minute. Tiros EC's Caetano da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro de Queiroz in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Válbson Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kléber Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Mutuipe's zone, Przemyslaw Buda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléber Catarinense came out of the goal and Przemyslaw Buda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. Reynaldo Arósio took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano da Costa. Caetano da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Reynaldo Arósio might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caetano da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Arósio ran back to his position shaking his head. Caetano da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Válbson Paulista during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Tiros EC got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Paulista. After 64 minutes of play, Mutuipe's João Paulo Massa made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute João Paulo Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tiros EC booed when Mutuipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mutuipe's Marcus Netto tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Mutuipe support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
