Mamoi's Maurício Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Mamoi from getting a goal against them. Maurício Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Arósio in the 18th minute of play. Kléber Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Paulista in the 19th minute of play. If João Paulo Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reynaldo Arósio was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Renato Paulista made a precise shot to the right of Kléber Catarinense. Mutuipe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mamoi's Maurício Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Arósio in the 56th minute of play. João Paulo Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Andrade having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Chiquinho Neto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kléber Catarinense. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mamoi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mutuipe the free kick. Chiquinho Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Mutuipe getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Eusébio Vidal hit a great ball. Kléber Catarinense acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 75th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hamílton Saldanha. Reynaldo Arósio took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurício Andrade. Maurício Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Mamoi's Renato Paulista was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiquinho Neto in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kléber Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Mamoi's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Arósio came free, but Maurício Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Netto hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Mamoi's Hamílton Saldanha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide.
