The supporters of Sette clube booed when Piquara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Lauro Souza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Anderson Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Paes in the 42nd minute of play forced Sette clube's goalkeeper Leandro Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Acácio Perez came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Piquara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Perez couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Duarte to make the kick off. Leandro Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfredo Dante in the 53rd minute. If Felipe Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute.
